Look we finally went somewhere!

We decided to actually get out and do something a couple of Sundays ago...however maybe next time we'll go to Zions or somewhere else instead of on a blistering 105 degree desert hike! Seriously I almost died...no shade & only my little water bottle that we had to share since Zach told me not to bring my backpack! Thanks babe... We still had a blast & it was just nice to be outside enjoying nature. It was absolutely gorgeous and I'm still alive and fully hydrated!

Can you see the lizard?

This is Zach thinking about why he told me to leave my backpack with drinks in it at home...lol

Now we can't even skate in the privacy of our own backyards!

CLICK HERE TO SIGN THE ONLINE PETITION.
SPREAD THE WORD!

On August 7th, 2008 the Salt Lake Valley Health Department passed a new ordinance which prohibits the use of any skate ramps on a residential property. The reasoning they have used to issue this ordinance is based on "Noise Pollution".

The ordinance can be found here on the SLVHD website. It is Regulation # 21, and reads as follows...

4.5.21. Sporting Ramps. No person shall build or use nor shall any person cause, allow, or permit anyone to build or allow anyone to use any skateboard, roller blade, bicycle, or snowboard ramp or half-pipe or similar configuration within 800 feet of a dwelling, except within facilities that have been designated for such use by government entity.

REFER TO SLCMINIRAMP.COM FOR THE REST OF THIS ARTICLE...

Sign the petition & forward the link to all of your friends before they try to issue an ordinance to ban ramps in our area!!

Birthday Boy

So this is a bit late since Zach's birthday was on the 14th...but Happy 26th Birthday!! He had a lot of fun, we went to Texas Roadhouse with his family for lunch and next thing you know the waitresses came out and made Zach sit on the saddle while they sang to him, it was pretty funny. His face practically matched his shirt by the time they were done! Here's a few other pictures from lunch...

Go team USA!!!

I am a complete Olympic addict, I watch it every minute I get...which means Zach has no choice but to watch it with me. I think he's starting to become a huge fan like me. Our favorite was watching the Men's 4x 100m Relay...if you missed it you should look it up on nbcolympics.com and watch it, or I'll do it for you just click here because it was awesome!

Gymnastics is also another favorite, however I think it would be nice if the Chinese wouldn't cheat, and start using girls that are actually 16!

Are you kidding, they don't even look a day over 12! I hope you enjoy those gold medals...cheaters!

Fire in the Hole!

So we thought it was just going to be another Saturday at the shop...we were playing video games and all of a sudden Zach jumped up and said "what the crap?!" He saw flames in the reflection of the TV. We looked outside and there were flames coming out of the dumpster!!The flames kept getting bigger and bigger, and stuff was exploding in the dumpster. (That's what happens when your next door neighbor is an auto body shop & they throw all their flammable paint etc. in the dumpster) Look how close that car is to the dumpster, maybe the auto body guy will think twice about where he parks his cars...

Then a cop showed up but he kind of just stood there holding his fire extinguisher...
Finally the fire truck showed up, Odie was so excited he got to see his first fire truck!Firemen to the rescue!!
We don't really know how the fire started, we're guessing it was just because of how hot it was & there were a bunch of glass bottles that could have lit the flammable materials that were in there. But hey at least it kept us entertained for awhile!

Motel 6 & Wee Fee

This is my Aunt Merlene and my Grandma. They've been traveling all over and decided to stop by & see us in St. George. It was so fun to see them again! We went to El Pollo Loco for lunch, which was delicious, & then they wanted to come see our store, then we drove around and ended up at home so Aunt Merlene could see our puppies!! She's an animal lover like us! (grandma acts like she doesn't like my dogs, but I think she secretly loves them) They stayed at the Motel 6, Grandma's favorite place
I had to take a picture of this, they kept calling it the "Wee Fee" sign, they finally asked me what wee fee was, and I had to break the news that it wasn't actually called wee fee lol it cracked me and Zach up!
We love you guys! Thanks for coming to visit!!
