Go team USA!!!

I am a complete Olympic addict, I watch it every minute I get...which means Zach has no choice but to watch it with me. I think he's starting to become a huge fan like me. Our favorite was watching the Men's 4x 100m Relay...if you missed it you should look it up on nbcolympics.com and watch it, or I'll do it for you just click here because it was awesome!

Gymnastics is also another favorite, however I think it would be nice if the Chinese wouldn't cheat, and start using girls that are actually 16!

Are you kidding, they don't even look a day over 12! I hope you enjoy those gold medals...cheaters!

Fire in the Hole!

So we thought it was just going to be another Saturday at the shop...we were playing video games and all of a sudden Zach jumped up and said "what the crap?!" He saw flames in the reflection of the TV. We looked outside and there were flames coming out of the dumpster!!The flames kept getting bigger and bigger, and stuff was exploding in the dumpster. (That's what happens when your next door neighbor is an auto body shop & they throw all their flammable paint etc. in the dumpster) Look how close that car is to the dumpster, maybe the auto body guy will think twice about where he parks his cars...

Then a cop showed up but he kind of just stood there holding his fire extinguisher...
Finally the fire truck showed up, Odie was so excited he got to see his first fire truck!Firemen to the rescue!!
We don't really know how the fire started, we're guessing it was just because of how hot it was & there were a bunch of glass bottles that could have lit the flammable materials that were in there. But hey at least it kept us entertained for awhile!

Motel 6 & Wee Fee

This is my Aunt Merlene and my Grandma. They've been traveling all over and decided to stop by & see us in St. George. It was so fun to see them again! We went to El Pollo Loco for lunch, which was delicious, & then they wanted to come see our store, then we drove around and ended up at home so Aunt Merlene could see our puppies!! She's an animal lover like us! (grandma acts like she doesn't like my dogs, but I think she secretly loves them) They stayed at the Motel 6, Grandma's favorite place
I had to take a picture of this, they kept calling it the "Wee Fee" sign, they finally asked me what wee fee was, and I had to break the news that it wasn't actually called wee fee lol it cracked me and Zach up!
We love you guys! Thanks for coming to visit!!

Over the Hill

Zach's step dad Mike just turned 50! Zach's mom decided to throw him a surprise party at the pasta factory. She put so much work into it, and it turned out awesome! He seemed pretty surprised when he walked in! Happy Birthday Old Man!!

This is the shirt we gave him, it's a hairy chest shirt! Pretty gross but funny! This is Dylan, Zach's nephewHe cracks me up!! He makes the funniest faces! He's playing with one of Mikes presents...an old man walkerThis is cute little Brinley, Zach's niece

She kept trying to hide her face so we couldn't take her pictureBut we got some anyway :)

Crocodile Tears...

So as long as I can remember every time I've gone to a baseball game I've wanted to catch a foul ball. During every game I sit there with my glove on my hand just waiting for one to come my way. Well it's never happened. However the other day we were just pulling into the game and Zach said holy crap did you see that? I said see what? He said a foul ball just bounced in the street right in front of our car. So I immediately bolted out of the car, started running down the street and dodging cars chasing this ball. Next thing I know there is a whole pack of kids chasing after me trying to get the ball. But I got it!! As soon as I picked it up all the kids just sighed and said aw man and headed back to the stadium...except 2 of them. I was just so excited I got a ball but then the one kid said (in the saddest sweetest voice) can I have your ball? I looked at them and then back at my ball, & I asked them if they had already gotten any foul balls. The one kid said yes I got one, but we've been trying to get him one for a long time. So I looked at that kid and he had the saddest little puppy dog eyes and he said again, could I please have your ball? So reluctantly I gave him my ball, he said thanks and they ran off. What a scheme, it was probably all an act! lol But I didn't want to be the mean "adult" that said no to some little kid, so I had to give it to him. I guess Zach grabbed the camera from my purse & tried to take a picture from the car, so it's not the best picture, (it all happened pretty fast) but at least now I will remember my short lived foul ball. When I got back to the car Zach was just cracking up, he couldn't believe I had given up my ball after I ran clear down the street for it! lol

Bad hair day

Need I say more...

I'm going Green!

I started recycling cans about 2 years ago after I noticed how much coke Zach drinks. (I guess I'm not innocent either if you refer to my red bull post) So I ordered a can smusher online and made him install it in his garage. Well after about a year or so I decided to take my can collection in and collect my money. I figured we would get maybe 5 bucks or so since Zach said he used to recycle cans in high school to pay for gas but he never made anything over $5. But surprise surprise I got 18 bucks!!! I can't even tell you how excited I was. For the first time in my life it actually paid to go green!! So since then Zach and I have decided to try to reduce our carbon footprint. We unplug our TVs, lamps, etc. to eliminate using ghost power. We also try to get energy efficient appliances & light bulbs. I guess we'll see if our bills end up being less. So maybe if any of you drink lots of soda like Zach try to recycle your cans, it's kind of fun to see how much they add up to...or at least save your cans & give them to me!!

Or how about a broken bone!

So this story is lame. About a year and a half ago I busted my hand 4 wheeling, well anyway somehow about a month ago I reinjured my hand again during my sleep. (they told me if it ever hurt again to go back in and they'll x-ray it again) I've been putting off going to the doctor because well I always put off going to the doctor, but my hand has been really buggin me so I finally went to Instacare yesterday. I've heard terrible stories about this instacare about how the doctors are really bad and never diagnose anything right...but I figured it couldn't be that bad... So me and Zach were sitting in the room waiting and finally the doctor comes in and I start explaining what's wrong with my hand, and he pretty much interrupts me and says you have tendinitis so we'll put it in a splint, and then he left. He was in the room for about a total of 20 seconds. Me & Zach just looked at each other like what the crap??? I'm like well um okay I guess a finger splint won't be that bad, but tendinitis???....he comes back in and wraps up my entire thumb & arm!!!! I had a mummy wrap! I couldn't even say anything because I was trying so hard not to laugh about what this guy was doing to my arm. So right after that we left and as soon as we got outside we just totally busted up laughing...and then we got in the car and Zach was like take that stupid thing off you don't have tendinitis! But by the time we got home I wasn't really laughing anymore because my hand still hurt and now I have to take time during the week to go to a specialist or something and find out what's really wrong with my hand. Stupid instacare!! (watch now I really will have tendinitis and i'll have to eat my words lol)
